You must also complete a certified instructor training program and pass a state-specific instructor examination. Some states require additional background checks and teaching certifications before you can train new drivers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a CDL driving instructor, and why are they important?

These competencies ensure effective training, regulatory compliance, and the development of safe, skilled commercial drivers.
