As a Day Shift Delivery Truck Driver, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

  • Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • Safeguarding company property, including donated goods
  • Maintaining records such as Vehicle Logs and daily Trip Sheets
  • Providing basic supervision for assigned Truck Helper
  • Reporting any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
  • Reporting delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to headquarters
  • Loading and unloading trucks, vehicles, containers, and trailers.
  • Maintaining appropriate communication with headquarters
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections on their assigned vehicle daily.
  • Inspecting truck equipment and supplies (such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water).
  • All other duties based on business needs.

  • Must be at least 25 years of age
  • Minimum 6 -12 months commercial truck driving experience
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License (Class A), with driving record acceptable to company's vehicle insurance standards
  • Must be able to read operating and safety instructions
  • Ability to effectively use a dolly, pallet jack and lift gate
  • Flexible work schedule and regular attendance necessary
  • Required to work weekends
