The Class A CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other heavy commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations while complying with all federal, state, and company regulations.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate Class A commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers) safely and efficiently
  • Comply with regulations set by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
  • Follow all guidelines established by the United States Department of Transportation
  • Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain accurate logs and required documentation (ELDs, bills of lading, delivery receipts)
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding routes and delivery status
  • Report accidents, delays, or mechanical issues immediately
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
  • Current DOT Medical Card
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
