POSITION SUMMARY:

Employees in this position may be engaged in a variety of delivery activities to support the successful operation of the Crossfield Operations. Additional activities include but are not limited to other tasks as they relate to our production and yard activities.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely and efficiently operate a delivery truck and trailers including load securement.
  • Organize trailers in yard, supporting in the yard where required.
  • Maintain related quality, safety, and production documentation.
  • Achieve planned work by collaborating with internal customers and proactively raising any potential risks along with proposed solutions to achieve the plan.
  • Support manufacturing operations on the production floor as operationally required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by ensuring work areas are clean and organized and everything is in its prescribed location.
  • Protect & preserve capital assets by completing prescribed pre-use inspections & preventative maintenance.
  • Accountable and responsible for operational and functional requirements of safety and quality as it relates to driving and deliveries.
  • Represent Plasti-Fab in a professional & courteous manner when dealing with internal & external customers.
  • Provide all co-workers with an equitable, tolerant, and positive environment where people are respected and treated with dignity, where work is shared, issues are openly and calmly communicated, and ideas are fostered.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and regulations including required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure safe equipment operation and report any equipment deficiencies.
  • Ensure your work area is clean and free from debris and hazards.
  • Communicate all quality and delivery issues to the operations team as soon as they are raised.
  • Complete all required paperwork legibly and accurately.
  • Basic computer skills & good communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Physically able to perform work with full range of motion, sitting/ standing for long periods, lifting up to 50lbs.
  • On-site work area - inside and outside, working in heat, cold, wetness, wind, dust, rain, snow, and noise.
  • Overtime work and occasional weekend work may be necessary on occasion.

FUNCTIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

The following are the anticipated technical and functional qualifications:

  • Valid AZ Driver's License - drivers abstract required.
  • Must be able to drive standard.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team,
  • Must be able to take and follow directions,
  • Ability to read measurements in both Metric and Imperial systems,
  • Ability to record data legibly and accurately as needed.
  • Able to complete accurate paperwork.
