We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our team in Portland, Oregon.Position SummaryThe Class A CDL Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of freight while maintaining compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations. This position requires strong attention to safety, customer service, equipment maintenance, and accurate recordkeeping. ResponsibilitiesPerform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document vehicle defects or maintenance concerns. Operate tractor-trailer equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and required transportation documentation. Verify freight against shipping manifests and ensure cargo is properly secured.Plan and adjust delivery routes based on traffic, road, and weather conditions. Safely load and unload freight at customer and company locations. Obtain proof of delivery signatures and complete required delivery paperwork. Communicate delivery status, delays, accidents, and equipment issues to management.Perform basic vehicle and equipment maintenance as needed. Maintain a clean and professional appearance of trucks, trailers, and work areas. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform additional duties assigned by management. QualificationsRequiredValid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A). Current DOT Medical Card. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday. Strong commitment to safety and compliance. PreferredOne to two years of tractor-trailer driving experience. Experience with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs). Forklift and pallet jack experience.Strong customer service and communication skills.ScheduleMonday through Friday. Overnight travel required based on business needs.Ability to work 40+ hours per week.Overtime opportunities available.BenefitsMedical Insurance.Dental Insurance. Vision Insurance. Safety Bonus Incentive Program.Why Join WSL?At WSL, we value safety, integrity, teamwork, and customer service.
