What are CDL Beer Delivery Drivers?

CDL Beer Delivery Drivers are licensed commercial drivers responsible for transporting and delivering beer and related products from distributors or breweries to retail locations, such as bars, restaurants, and stores. Class A CDL Driver - Local Route (Home Daily)
Pay: $53,000 - $66,000 per year, depending on experience and route assignment
Schedule: 4 or 5 day work week depending on route assignment, fixed early AM start (typically 5-6 AM); home daily
Location: Topeka, KS
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary
Crown Distributors is Kansas's family-owned beverage distributor, hiring a Class A CDL Delivery Driver for our Topeka facility. Local route, no overnights, home every afternoon. We're looking for safe, reliable drivers who take pride in their route and represent the company at every customer. Full-time 4 or 5 day work week depending on route assignment, with a fixed early-morning start (typically 5:00 to 6:00 a.m.); home daily with evenings off. Don't have a CDL yet? We have a paid in-house CDL training program. Apply for our Delivery Trainee role instead.
Responsibilities
  • Operate the Route: Operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer or straight truck on an assigned local route, safely delivering beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages from the warehouse to retail customers on schedule.
  • Serve the Customer: Deliver on the scheduled window with the right product in the right quantity. Rotate the retailer's stock, stock any out-of-stocks at the account, and partner with the sales rep on account needs.
  • Operate Safely: Follow all safety policies and procedures, including pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Steward Equipment: Treat the tractor, trailer, wheeler, and any assigned electric pallet jack like the team, business, and company image depend on it. Keep trucks and trailer clean inside and out.
  • Team Dependability: The team depends on each other. Reliable attendance and efficient route execution keep team resources and support available for everyone.

Rewards
Pay: $53,000 to $66,000 annually depending on experience and route assignment, with guaranteed 40 hours plus 5 hours of overtime every week. Routes are built to about 40 hours, so you finish your route and still get paid for the full 45; any hours beyond 45 earn additional overtime.
  • Bi-weekly pay, plus on-demand pay available through Paylocity.
  • Up to 20 days of paid time off in your first year.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 401(k) with company match.
  • Free in-house pallet jack certification, completed on the clock.
  • Promotion from within (clear path to Lead, Supervisor, and Manager roles).
  • Military friendly.
  • Valid CDL A with a clean driving record.
  • Reliability, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
  • Physical stamina for heavy lifting and problem-solving in dynamic situations.
  • Commitment to safety, quality service, and doing what's right for our partners.

To Apply
Apply online or walk into our Topeka facility during business hours to fill out an application (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
Every application gets reviewed. If we think you would be a good fit, we will reach out to schedule an interview. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age (Federal requirement for interstate commercial driving).
  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and maintain a current DOT medical card.
  • Must be able to report to work reliably and maintain regular attendance.
  • Ability to lift 30-pound cases on a regular basis and handle kegs weighing up to 160 pounds. Material handling equipment (hand-trucks, electric pallet jacks) is used to move kegs and pallets.
