Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, logbook software, and sometimes specialized equipment like lift gates or air brakes is typically required. Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills help drivers interact professionally and manage schedules efficiently. These competencies are crucial for ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable delivery or transport services.

Staying organized and proactive in vehicle inspections also helps minimize delays and ensures safety compliance. Many employers provide ongoing training and support to help drivers address these issues effectively.
