What is a CCRC?

CCRCs, or Continuing Care Retirement Communities, are residential communities designed for older adults that provide a continuum of care. This means residents can transition from independent living to assisted living and skilled nursing care as their needs change, all within the same community. CCRCs offer a variety of services and amenities, such as meals, housekeeping, social activities, and health care services. They are ideal for seniors who want to plan for future health care needs while maintaining an active and social lifestyle. These communities typically require an entrance fee and monthly payments, which vary based on the level of care required.
