Construction Project Manager โ€“ Direct High-Impact Ground-Up Construction from Preconstruction to Closeout

Job Overview:

  • Company: Sphere Construction Group LLC.

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $140,000 to $155,000+ per year plus Year-End Bonus.

  • Location: Onsite (Denville, NJ).

  • Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday.

  • Project Scope: General Construction (Residential, Commercial, Industrial)

  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour. (PMP, CCM, or Procore certifications are a plus).

The Opportunity: You will join a high-energy construction team, serving as the central link between architects, engineers, and clients. This role offers the autonomy to lead complex projects from the initial bid through final turnover within a stable, 40-year-old industry leader.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Lead projects through the entire lifecycle, from preconstruction planning and document review to final closeout and turnover.

  • Develop comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and procurement timelines to ensure strict adherence to profitability targets.

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and municipal agencies to resolve design conflicts and secure necessary approvals.

  • Oversee contract administration, including the management of RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and subcontractor change orders.

  • Coordinate with onsite Superintendents to monitor construction progress and ensure workmanship meets our high-quality standards.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing transparent status updates and facilitating timely problem resolution.

  • Direct final inspections and punch list completion to ensure the seamless delivery of as-built drawings and warranties.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management.

  • Proven track record of managing project budgets, cost controls, and monthly forecasting.

  • Expertise in reviewing technical plans, specifications, and complex contract documents.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-stakes meetings with consultants and municipal authorities.

  • Strong proficiency in managing document control systems and project safety programs.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience working with Procore software for project management and documentation.

  • Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager).

  • Extensive experience in ground-up commercial or multifamily construction sectors.

  • Background in managing large-scale procurement and vendor agreements.
