Taylor Carpet One Floor & Home is searching for Design Sales Consultant to join their Naples, Bonita Springs, and Ft. Myers, FL showrooms.  If you love working with people, trust your instincts when making smart decisions, and have an eye for great design, this could be the career move you've been waiting for! Taylor Carpet One Floor & Home has been a family owned and operated retail showroom for over 65 years and is regarded as the premier flooring store in the Ft. Myers, Naples, and Bonita Springs communities. We take pride in what we do and are eager to help clients find the right product and design for our client's' overall needs.

Day-to-Day Tasks:
  • Determine overall flooring & design needs while offering a great customer experience
  • Build genuine relationships with new/existing customers
  • Schedule appointments for client design consultations
  • Keep up to date on the selection of products & services provided
  • Provide product suggestions, review measurements, estimate materials, present proposals, manage payments & oversee project quality
  • Keep the install team on track by sharing clear notes + photos
  • Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications & availability
  • Engage in networking events & prospect for new business
  • Keep the showroom clean, organized & on trend.
 
 What We're Looking For:
  • 2+ years' proven work experience in Retail Sales, Customer Service, Furniture Sales, Interior Design or similar role
  • A valid driver's license & reliable transportation (REQUIRED)
  • Able to pass a background check & drug test (REQUIRED)
  • Fundamental tech, social media & math skills
  • Positive, communicative & motivated to help grow the business.
  • Critical thinking & problem-solving abilities
  • Personal & professional judgment
  • Quick to help customers get what they need
  • Ability to achieve sales goals effectively
  • Organizational skills & the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
  • Time management skills & detailed oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of RFMS is a plus, but not required - willing to train
  • Flooring or design experience is a plus, but not required — we're happy to train the right person
