Description


St. Paul Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled educator to inspire students academically, spiritually, and socially. The Elementary Teacher creates a positive, engaging classroom environment that fosters strong communication, critical thinking, and a love of learning while integrating the teachings of the Catholic Church. This role supports the development of the whole child and works collaboratively with faculty, parents, and administration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging instruction in core subjects including religion, language arts, math, science, and social studies
     
  • Foster a classroom culture rooted in Catholic values and respectful student behavior
     
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with school standards and student needs
     
  • Differentiate instruction to support individual and small group learning
     
  • Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with parents and staff
     
  • Encourage creativity, independent thinking, and student participation
     
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and school initiatives
     
  • Supervise students during school activities and participate in school events, committees, and field trips
     
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and welcoming learning environment

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or related field
     
  • Tennessee Teacher Licensure (or eligibility)
     
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
     
  • Understanding of child development and effective instructional practices
     
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church
