STARTING RATE OF PAY: $44.98 p/hr.

Job Summary:
Performs a variety of technical assignments associated with the cathodic protection program for the Company's natural gas distribution facilities. Monitors and maintains the corrosion control facilities by performing testing, inspections and some repairs of these facilities. Initiates work orders for recommendation improvements and maintenance of corrosion control facilities to ensure compliance with Federal regulations.

Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA, DOT, and PHMSA regulatory guidelines. Participate in team safety programs and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma and the ability to pass the applicable Eversource Operator Qualifications tests and Time Merit Progression steps to be a fully qualified Corrosion Technician within three years.
2. Three years of experience in pipeline operations, corrosion control, or cathodic protection preferred.
3. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license and maintain a clean driving record.
4. Ability to work independently; indoors and outdoors and in all weather conditions.
3. The ability to understand electrical theory, basic chemistry principles and corrosion theory. Thorough knowledge of gas maintenance operations and construction. Thorough knowledge of Federal and State codes relative to corrosion control. Ability to read and interpret pipeline maps, engineering drawings, and as-builts. Strong computer skills for reporting and data entry.
