We are looking for a dedicated Cath Lab X-Ray Tech like you to join our Lubbock Heart team.

What You Will do in this Role:

  • Assist the physician in obtaining diagnostic Cath Lab studies and performs quality control of all related X-Ray equipment as needed.
  • Choose appropriate G-Arm angulation, fieldsize and filtering.
  • Assure appropriate patient identification on all radiographic studies.
  • Identify and promptly report equipment problems; serving as a liaison between service personnel and the facility.
  • Identify and utilize the opportunity for professional growth and employee development.
  • Promote radiation awareness to reduce exposure to the patient and staff.
  • Demonstrate understanding of sterile technique, protecting the sterile field while positioning patients.
  • Monitor expiration dates on contrast solutions and other X-ray related supplies and inventories supplies to ensure product availability.
  • Assist in accomplishing prudent use of supplies to provide cost effective patient care.
  • Assist with patient set up, room turnover, and patient transportation as needed.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current BCLS Certification.
  • ACLS Certification is recommended.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry.
  • Current certification with the Texas Department of Health.

Your Shift: Full Time 6:30-1500

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in the care of cardiac, orthopedic, nephrology, urology, and general medical patients.  We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery.  We have a 24-hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 fully operating OR rooms, 4 cardiac catherization labs with 1 electrophysiology room, 11-day surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds spread over three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms.  We pride ourselves on giving the best overall care possible to our patients and on our family style atmosphere that includes everyone: patients and their families, physicians, and our employees.
