Lead regional customer and employee education and training activities in support of Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) procedure and product launches. Partner with key leadership, field, and cross functional personnel toidentifyopportunities forand barriers to improving district and region performance. Provide feedback to product development, quality, education, and marketing teamsregardingproduct performance to improve future offerings.

Serve as the customer and field technicalresourcein CRM.Provideexpertiseand leadership in the areas of Physician and Fellows education, AHP education, clinical evidence interpretation, and Medtronic employee education.Based on strategic prioritiesprovideimplant or clinic coverage as requested by the needs of the region.

Main Job Duties/Responsibilities

Education and Training:

  • Drives regional education and training activities and supports national programs for CRM, specifically:

  • Train and educate internal teams and external customers on CRM procedures, therapies/ products,processesand solutions

  • Continued education and assessment of tenured field team

  • Leads coordination of new-hire training with accountability to hiring manager (DM or DSM)

  • Responsible for new hire field sign-off

  • Understands competitive technology and therapies and can craft a message as to why Medtronic devices provide a competitive advantage. Disseminates competitive informationtoregional teams. Delivers competitive training to field service and sales staff

  • Delivers tailored training and education on Medtronic products, competitive products, clinical evidence, and the changing marketplace to enhance the technical and sales skills of local sales and service teams and ensure a best-in-class organization.

  • Delivers newproductand procedural field training and ensures that allrequiredtechnical and clinical evidence for our products is delivered in a manner that our field teams can articulate to customers.

  • Enhances relationships with current and future stakeholders by delivering strategic and innovative education to promote Medtronic products and therapies while focusing on the clinical value and engages with the Regional Economics Manager for economic value conversations.

Technical and Clinical Expert:

  • Translates complex technical messaging, dispels competitive claims, resolves complex technical issues, andmaintainscustomer relationships through technicalexpertise.

  • Understands,Interpretsandparticipatesin communication of product and procedure updates and field corrective actions pertinent to Medtronic products and therapies.

  • Collaborates with the Clinical Research Organizationrelativeto clinical studies and physician research.

Strategic Partner:

  • Partners with sales leadership intentionally and effectively to develop and execute strategic technical and clinical training thatmeetbusiness goals.

  • Leverages personal district and region-wide relationships and experience toanticipatechanges in business conditions

  • Responds to urgent or rapidly changing business needs and partners with sales teams to implement strategic solutions.

  • Builds and strengthens relationships across Medtronic to support collaborative solutions thatleverageour unique sales and service teams.

Builds Alliances:

  • Builds andmaintainshigh trust relationships based on technicalexpertiseand clinical evidence with key customers across the region.

MUST HAVE - MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME

  • Bachelor's Degree PLUS a minimum 2 years of experience in electrophysiology or sales/service/engineering in the Cardiac Rhythm or an Implantable Medical Device Industry -OR-

  • Advanced Degree in engineering or nursing

NICE TO HAVE - DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in biomedical engineering or nursing

  • Cath Lab, EP Lab, hospital/clinic, or cardiology experience

  • Experience teaching and educating medical personnel, peers, and technical support personnel

  • Thorough working knowledge of cardiac medical terminology and the medical device industry

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Proven ability to build/maintainpositive relationships with peers and colleagues across organization levels

  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills

  • Ability to coordinate/participateinnumeroustasks/projects in a fast-paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlines

  • Strong work ethic inaccomplishingobjectivesof the position

  • Expertisewith Microsoft tools and other business applications (i.e., SalesForce.com)

  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements
