ASPIRUS LAKE VIEW HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking a LV CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT to join our GENERAL NURSING team!
Salary Range: $18.29 - $24.93 Hourly
Schedule/Hours: VARIED (ALL) SHIFTS, 8 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
FTE: PART TIME, 0.2 FTE
The Certified Nursing Assistant, under the direction of the RN, assists in providing activities of daily living and comfort measures according to a written plan of care for assigned patients. Assists with patient care activities/services of a technical nature and assists with daily unit activities and order. Other duties may be assigned. All employees are required to adhere to safe work practices and take active participation in the AWAIR (A Workplace Accident and Injury Reduction) Program as requested. All employees shall actively support and participate in the Quality Assurance Program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: For employees hired after 12/1/2017: Nursing Assistant on either the Minnesota Department of Health Nursing Assistant Registry or the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry at the time of hire (need not be renewed), OR be currently enrolled in an accredited Nursing program and have completed one semester of clinical rotations, OR see experience.
  • Experience: Six (6) months of verifiable clinical experience.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of basic mathematical computations; skill in taking temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure and weight; legible printing and/or handwriting. Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions; to observe and report anything that varies from normal or expected; to communicate and work harmoniously with patients, families and health team members; to maintain confidentiality.
  • READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • WRITING - Basic: Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • SPEAKING - Basic: Ability to speak simple sentences.
