The Role:
The Cardiac Cath Lab RN operates in a fast-paced, procedure-driven setting that blends
critical care nursing with advanced interventional cardiology support. You will work closely with physicians, technologists, and fellow nurses in a highly coordinated environment where efficiency and clinical excellence are essential.
In an average day, you will:
- Circulate and monitor during procedures including interventional cardiology cases, structural heart interventions, and emergent STEMI activations
- Manage patients with ICU-level acuity, requiring continuous monitoring and rapid response
- Work within a 4-person team model (2 RNs and 2 Techs) to ensure safe and seamless procedural flow
- Anticipate physician needs and support complex procedural workflows
- Handle specialized equipment and maintain procedural readiness
- Complete detailed documentation to support continuity and quality of care
- Participate in an on-call rotation, responding to urgent cardiac cases after hours

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $42.69 - $56.71 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
