A Cath Lab IR Tech, or Catheterization Laboratory Interventional Radiology Technologist, is a healthcare professional who assists physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular and radiology procedures. They operate specialized imaging equipment, prepare and monitor patients, and ensure a sterile environment during procedures such as angiograms, stent placements, and other minimally invasive interventions. Their expertise is crucial in capturing high-quality images and maintaining patient safety throughout the procedure.
