Job description

Animales BBQ is looking for a Catering & Events Manager to oversee the promotion, sales, and operations of off-site catering and in-house private events. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences, building strong community relationships, and driving revenue growth through events and catering. This is a full-time, exempt position.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $50,000 - 60,000 annually
  • Incentive: 3% fee on off-site catering sales and in-house private events

Key Responsibilities

Private Events Management
  • Lead all aspects of private event operations at Animales, including inquiries, client walkthroughs, bookings, contracts, and vendor coordination.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a seamless experience from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up.
  • Partner with FOH teams to communicate event details and expectations, ensuring all teams are aligned and prepared.
  • Create and maintain systems for managing multiple concurrent events, prioritizing client satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Strategically grow private event revenue annually by identifying new opportunities, refining offerings, and strengthening client relationships.
  • Oversee event budgets, ensuring profitability while maintaining high service standards.
Catering Management
  • Direct and coordinate all aspects of off-site catering operations for Animales.
  • Manage client intake, communication, and relationships from initial contact through event completion.
  • Act as liaison between departments (FOH, BOH, Bar) to ensure seamless execution of catering services.
  • Support on-site delivery and execution as needed to guarantee service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Develop systems to streamline catering operations, including proposals, contracts, and post-event follow-ups.
  • Monitor catering performance metrics and continuously seek opportunities for growth and improvement
