Position:
Catering Event Team Member

Job Classification: Part Time, Non-Exempt

Reports To: General Manager and/or Catering LEAD

Work Schedule: Generally open Tuesday-Saturday. Hours are varied based on event schedule. Both primarily daytime or evening hours available. Some Friday and Saturday evenings are required. The schedule will be highly varied- hours are available as dictated by the quantity and size of the currently scheduled catering events.

Summary of Role: 3033 Anderson Ave serves as kitchen space for One Egg Catering Kitchen. The Catering Event Team Member’s role is primarily focused on pre-event food preparation, plating, and finishing of catering menu items. The role is also focused on food and guest service execution at the on-site events. These focuses are accomplished while meeting expectations for guest service, timing, cleanliness, safety, and Food Code adherence. This role requires fluency in English to carefully follow event order details and communicate professionally with both colleagues and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow food safety and cleanliness procedures at all times
  • Consistently remain guest focused when onsite at events; help make each event a memorable experience for our guests.
  • Keep your assigned station and equipment clean, sanitized and orderly during your shift
  • Safely operate your assigned station and equipment; report any functional or mechanical problems to a manager immediately
  • Execute assigned food prep in an accurate & timely manner according to recipes and event menu
  • Set up and stock assigned food stations accurately and efficiently
  • Remain engaged throughout assigned shift
  • Constant attention to food quality, preparation quality and presentation.
  • Maintain event time consistency
  • Communicate professionally & efficiently with colleagues
  • Perform all side duties and cleaning duties as assigned
  • Assist in answering phones and interacting with guests as directed
  • Perform additional tasks related to kitchen operations as assigned by managers

What we need from you:

  • 1-2 years of previous restaurant kitchen or catering experience preferred, but not required. Training is provided.
  • Ability and willingness to move quickly, efficiently and safely through the kitchen
  • Strong work ethic to execute demanding physical and mental work under pressure
  • Positive attitude that remains consistent under pressure; be someone that others want to work with.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to be on your feet & standing up to 8 hours
  • Ability to reach & lift above the head as needed

  • Ability to function in a work environment that is hot, loud, in tight spaces with colleagues, contains wet and slippery surfaces
