We are currently hiring experienced Banquet Captains to help lead our service team and ensure flawless event execution.

Position Overview

The Banquet Captain is the on-site leader responsible for managing service staff, coordinating with the culinary and logistics teams, and ensuring that events run smoothly from setup through breakdown.

Banquet Captains act as the primary service leader during events, ensuring that service standards, timelines, and guest experience expectations are met at the highest level.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, organization, and the ability to stay calm and effective in fast-paced event environments.


Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Leadership
  • Lead and manage service staff during catered events.
  • Conduct pre-event staff briefings and communicate event details.
  • Assign service positions and ensure all staff understand their responsibilities.
  • Maintain professional service standards throughout the event.
Event Execution
  • Oversee event setup, including tables, buffets, bars, and service stations.
  • Ensure event spaces meet presentation and cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor guest needs and respond proactively.
Team Management
  • Supervise servers, bartenders, and support staff.
  • Provide guidance and support to service team members during events.
  • Ensure staff maintain professional appearance and conduct.
Client & Guest Interaction
  • Serve as the primary service contact for clients or venue coordinators during events.
  • Handle guest needs, questions, or service adjustments professionally.
  • Ensure guests receive attentive and thoughtful service.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of catering, banquet, or hospitality service experience
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environments
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Valid driver's license preferred
