Job description

Promote, organize and carry out events for corporate and social clients. Execute sales strategies/programs primarily designed to increase catering events, maximize revenues and promote a positive image of Chef's Choice Catering. Provide menu planning, rental details and address budgetary concerns for clients. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Minimum 

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • 2 years of event planning and/or catering sales experience
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong oral/written communication and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Community catering and event sales experience
  • Strong culinary knowledge
  • Experience working with Caterease catering software
  • Solicit new catering accounts and actively sell catering services to current clients in order to accomplish aggressive sales goals.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with new and existing clients and venues.
  • Meet with clients, venues and vendors to orchestrate menus and rental agreements and determine event requirements.
  • Manage off-premises events to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of market trends, customer needs and competitive activity within the events and catering industries. 
  • Manage Chef's Choice Catering's presence on social media sites (e.g., Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.).

  • Manage relationships with several area venues to ensure all client and company needs are addressed.
  • Maintain flexibility to work any shift.
