Job description

The line cook provides exceptional customer service by preparing and serving orders from our pre-prepared food. The line cook takes orders from our customers and is very agile guaranteeing our excellent service. Additionally, he/she learns how to prepare different types of Mexican cuisine items, while interacting and becoming an essential team player.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepares Mexican food utilizing standardized procedures and recipes by specs.
  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or
  • serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature, by regulating ovens, grilles, and broilers.
  • Works 90% of the time in our flat top to ensure quality and consistency of our recipes.
  • Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to patrons.
  • Assist other cooks during rush hour or emergencies
  • Provide excellent customer service to all patrons.
  • Works with pre-determined systems in place, such as responsibilities, preparation lists specific to the assigned station.
  • Maintains safety and sanitation of all cooking areas, and workspaces.
  • Supports opening and closing duties including but not limited to: Cleaning equipment, facilities, and the kitchen area.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
