  • We are looking for a self-driven and motivated individual with light maintenance and cleaning experience
  • This position will clean our Central and South locations with light maintenance at both facilities
  • Full-Time benefits include free YMCA 'Family' membership; training, development and growth opportunities; health, dental and vision insurance; generous paid time off; funded retirement and 403(b) plan
  • Sign-On Bonus: Receive a $300 bonus for full-time hires, paid after 30 days of employment. To qualify, full-time employees must work a minimum of 35 hours per week. Offer valid through September 30, 2026. Please refer to the Sign-On Bonus Policy for full eligibility requirements and details.


Position Title: Maintenance and Housekeeping Lead

Reports To: Maintenance Director

Department: Maintenance

Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Schedule: 6:00am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00/hour

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the facility as it pertains to member perception, membership, program growth, and retention. A detailed daily checklist of cleaning duties will be followed. This position will have light maintenance duties and responsibilities. This position will work hand-in-hand with the Maintenance Director, being the Lead at our South facility. This position will be trained at our West facility, should the Director need to be off, this position would step in and fulfill director responsibilities.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Cleaning all areas of the building within realm of responsibility
  • Cleaning showers and locker room areas
  • Dusting and detail cleaning
  • Vacuuming carpeted areas
  • Toilet and shower scrubbing and sanitizing
  • Informing supervisor of cleaning supply inventory and supplies needed
  • Snow removal from sidewalks, entrances, emergency exits. Salting the sidewalks, entrances and parking lot handicap spots as needed
  • Landscaping help on all YMCA property
  • Light maintenance within realm of responsibility
  • Other tasks by supervisor within real of responsibility


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum age of 18
  • 1-2 years related experience (preferred)
  • Can work independently or in a group setting
  • Takes initiative and is self-driven
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to lift minimum 25lbs and use various floor cleaning machines
  • Flexible work hours
