Job description

Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.

We offer the latest technological diagnosing and testing services so that patients can obtain the most accurate information about their health and our medical staff can design the best treatment plans. Our CAT Scan team is comprised of professional care providers and trained technicians who employ computerized axial tomography (CAT) technology, an imaging procedure that combines many X-ray images with the aid of a computer to generate cross-sectional views and, if needed, three-dimensional views of the internal organs and structures of the body.

As a CT Technologist, you will help the Imaging Services department provide quality diagnostic services and care for patients and their families. Your responsibilities include performing computed tomography scans on patients, while working closely with physicians and other hospital staff to ensure that this imaging technology is seamlessly integrated into quality patient care plans. We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of technical and clinical procedure, outstanding communication and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai‘i Radiologic Technologist license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. One (1) year Radiologic Technologist or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Registered CT Technologist with the AART. One (1) year CT Technologist experience.
