Job description

Yard Loader Operator

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Yard Loader Operator based out of our Lake Lynn, PA Quarry to support a positive safety culture in an aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards in our East Region. This role is responsible for working with a team to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment. Work in an underground setting haul loads of stone to the primary crusher.

Day To Day

  • Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
  • Comply with all industry safety rules, policies, procedures and applicable government regulations
  • Maintain mobile equipment according to company standards.
  • Be involved with maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Pre-shift equipment for safety defects and report them to a supervisor.
  • Operate a 775,777 Cat haul trucks. Operate 465,605 Komatsu haul trucks.
  • Learn how to run other various underground equipment. Such as Loaders, Haul Trucks, Scalers and Bolters.
  • Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

About You

  • 3-4 years experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
  • Positive, team-based attitude
  • The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
  • The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Working Conditions

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
