Job description

Join a well-established leader in the recycling and materials processing industry. We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to operate large excavators and material handling equipment in a fast-paced industrial yard environment. This role plays a key part in keeping material flowing safely and efficiently throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
* Operate large excavators and material handlers to move, sort, load, and stage material
* Feed material into processing areas and load outbound trucks as needed
* Safely handle scrap and recyclable materials while maintaining productivity goals
* Perform daily equipment inspections and report safety, maintenance, or mechanical concerns
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Assist with other on-site operations as needed
Required Skills & Experience:
* Experience operating large excavators
* Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
* Ability to safely operate equipment from elevated cabs and work at heights up to approximately 15 feet
* Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently
* Comfortable working in an outdoor environment and flexible to work overtime weekly averaging 50 hours and up to 70 depending on workload
Preferred Skills & Experience:
* Experience operating SENNEBOGEN scrap handlers
* Experience operating comparable material handling equipment (CAT, Liebherr, Doosan, etc.)
