Job description

Personal Touch Pet Care, Inc., is looking for an EXPERIENCED Pet Groomer/Pet Stylist who is self-motivated, responsible and able to wok independently. While our groomers manage their own appointments and daily workflow, we value teamwork, communication and a willingness to help one another when needed.

This position offers the opportunity to work in our established salon and, if interested, spend some days grooming in our fully equipped mobile grooming van.

Our salon is closed Sundays and Mondays, giving you consistent scheduled days off every week

We pride ourselves on maintianing a positive, drama free work environment where teamwork, professionalism and excellent pet care are valued.

Compensation

  • Commission-based pay per pet appointment plus tips
  • 1,000 Sign-On Bonus
    • $300 after the first 3 months
    • $700 after the successful completer of 6 months

Responsibilities:

  • Perform breed-specific and pet-parent requested grooming services
  • Bathe, dry, brush, clip, and style pets safely and efficiently
  • Handle dogs and cats in a calm, gentle and professional manner
  • Evaluate coat and skin condtions and communicate concerns to pet owners
  • Build positive relationships with client and their pets
  • Provide outstanding customer service and communicate professionally with Pet owners
  • Work cooperatively with fellow groomers as a team player

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of professional pet grooming experience. Cat grooming experience a plus
  • Ability to groom a variety of breeds and coat types independently
  • Strong scissoring and finishing skills preferred
  • Ability to safely handle pets of various sizes, temperaments and energy levels
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work both as part of a team and independently
  • Dependable, punctual and professional
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills.
