A-123 Staff Consultant
We are seeking an A-123 Staff Consultant to provide support for our Federal client’s OMB Circular A-123 program. In this role, you will assist with internal controls assessments, improper payment testing, and compliance efforts to ensure adherence to federal financial management regulations.
What You Would Do in This Role:
  • Focus on Improper Payments and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR).
  • Assist in completing Appendix C improper payment testing.
  • Conduct Appendix A internal control testing as directed by management.
  • Draft summaries of deficiencies and corrective action plans.
  • Perform various analytical tasks to support financial management efforts.
Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited university
  • One year of experience related to internal controls, gained through:
    • OMB Circular A-123 (Appendices A amp; C)
    • Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
    • Financial Statement Audits
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to pass a basic government suitability check (U.S. Citizenship required)
