General Information:

Job title: Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist (Pediatric & Sport-Focused)

Schedules available:

  • Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday-Friday, flexible scheduling of either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts.

Holiday rotation: Paid Holidays

Position Summary:

The Physical Therapist provides outpatient orthopedic care to patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adolescent/student athletes, adult, and geriatric populations. This role supports injury recovery, pain management, mobility improvement, and safe return to daily activities, work, and sport. The Physical Therapist plays a key role in injury prevention, rehabilitation, performance optimization, and functional independence across all ages, with an emphasis on active youth populations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic and movement-related conditions across all age groups
  • Provide care for pediatric and adolescent patients, including student athletes recovering from injury
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to improve strength, mobility, balance, and function
  • Support injury prevention and safe return-to-play for active patients and athletes
  • Assist with fall risk reduction, post-surgical recovery, and functional independence
  • Collaborate with providers, families, and care teams to optimize outcomes
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation (evaluations, progress notes, discharges, etc.)
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Professional degree in physical therapy required. Doctorate preferred.
  • Wisconsin physical therapy license and continuing education to maintain licensure.
  • ACLS/BLS certification preferred.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation across the lifespan
  • Interest or experience in pediatric and/or sports rehabilitation preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills
  • Ability to adapt treatment approaches for diverse age groups and activity levels
  • Proficiency with computers and documentation systems
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
