Restaurant Associate Responsibilities:

The Restaurant Associate is responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently, providing excellent customer service and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant. The Restaurant Associate is tasked with making a lasting impression utilizing great communication skills while being energetic in a fast-paced environment. The Restaurant Associate is also responsible for setting and clearing tables and stocking all service stations. The Restaurant Associate will report directly to the Restaurant/Beach Store Manager.

Restaurant Associate duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet customers with a warm and welcoming demeanor
  • Assist customers in selecting menu items and provide information about specials or promotions
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any concerns in a professional manner
  • Process cash, credit card and other forms of payment accurately and efficiently
  • Calculate and provide correct change to customers
  • Maintain an organized cash register area and ensure all transactions are recorded properly
  • Input customer orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately
  • Ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and promptly communicate any special requests or modifications to the kitchen team
  • Promote upselling opportunities, such as adding side dishes or beverages to orders
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station and surrounding areas
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as wiping counters, sanitizing equipment and restocking supplies
  • Check all areas of service for trays and other restaurant supplies, including, but not limited to, inside the restaurant, boardwalk and the beach
