Come join our amazing team and work on-site in Orange!
The Cash Operations Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and processing all incoming mail, providing administrative and clerical support to the Cash Operation department, processing, posting and applying payments for residential mortgage accounts and preparing payments for deposit. Perform all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.The target pay for this position is $21.00 - $23.00.
What you'll do:
  • Coordinate and open all incoming mail.
  • Request instructions from business units when appropriate.
  • Post received payments and exception items, such as checks, wires, lockbox items, and Western Union, to corresponding residential mortgage accounts.
  • Post items rejected by the Loan Servicing system's automated posting function.
  • Perform posting reversals resulting from returned checks.
  • Reconcile and record all incoming checks and prepare daily deposits.
  • Research payment application inquiries and correct payment postings, as necessary.
  • Research issues and take corrective action, as appropriate.
  • Document and record changes to customer information in Loan Servicing information system.
  • Serve as secondary support for receiving, recording and compiling all incoming payments/checks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
