Settlement Operations Manager
Zanes Law Injury Lawyers is a 23 year-old founder led premier injury firm. We are  looking for an experienced Settlement Operations Manager to lead our Settlement Department.
This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for a proven operations leader with deep
experience in personal injury settlements. You must have a basic understanding of business in general and hav have the ability to "connect the dots" as this department is one of four.  
You will lead the department responsible for moving cases efficiently from settlement through
final disbursement and closing. This includes oversight of releases, lien resolution, reductions,
settlement packets, cost reports, client communication, attorney review, check collection, and
final file closure.
In addition to overseeing fast paced daily operations, you will lead a team of six (and growing) with responsibility for hiring, coaching, developing, and growing the department as the firm continues to expand.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-driven, calm under pressure, and committed to
delivering an exceptional client experience while building a high-performing team. Will consider someone with 10 + years of operations and management in similar industry. 
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Settlement Department and it's team of 6 (and growing). 
  • Responsible for maintaining reports.
  • Ensure that team is meeting monthly, quarterly and annual KPIs.
  • Ensure every settled case moves efficiently and accurately toward final disbursement and
  • case closing.
  • Oversee lien resolution, provider reductions, release collection, settlement memos, packet
  • preparation, disbursement readiness, and final file review.
  • Monitor settlement aging reports, workflow, quality metrics, and department productivity.
  • Ensure Filevine tasks, notes, documents, and checklists are accurate, complete, and up to
  • date.
  • Review department workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
  • Coordinate closely with attorneys, accounting, case managers, and outside vendors.
  • Protect the firm's quality standards while delivering an outstanding client experience.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop settlement team members.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, coaching sessions, and career
  • development discussions.
  • Hold team members accountable to department goals, quality standards, and performance
  • expectations.
  • Address employee performance, attendance, and disciplinary matters professionally and
  • consistently.
  • Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, teamwork, and exceptional
  • client service.
  • Reports to firm upper management and founders.
Requirements
  • Five more or more years of personal injury settlement, lien resolution, or post-settlement
  • experience.
  • At least 5 years of management or supervisory experience leading teams.
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury settlement workflows, Medicare and health insurance liens, provider reductions, releases, settlement statements, trust accounting coordination and client disbursements.
  • Experience with Filevine/Domo or similar case management software.
  • Experience with Adobe/Excel and comfortable using AI
  • Demonstrated success hiring, coaching, and developing employees.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Compensation 
  • $80,000 - $90,000 Depending on relevant experience
