Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to oversee our Cash Management function, delivering comprehensive depository and cash management solutions to business clients. This role is responsible for leading both sales and service teams, driving growth in deposit products, fee income, and customer retention, while ensuring operational excellence across the department. The ideal candidate will partner closely with Commercial, Business Banking, and Retail teams to develop and enhance products and services that meet evolving customer needs and position the bank competitively in the market. This position plays a critical role in identifying new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and executing sales and marketing strategies that support overall organizational goals. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, this leader will build a high-performing team through coaching, development, and collaboration, while ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional customer service. A strong understanding of cash management products, banking operations, and market trends is essential to drive innovation, profitability, and long-term client success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop cash management and deposit products and services which meet customer needs and differentiate in the market.
  • Work independently or in conjunction with Commercial, Business Banking and Banking Center Managers to identify new customer relationships and increase overall profitability for Cash Management area.
  • Responsible for the direct sale and support of all cash management related products and services to the business community.
  • Oversee the process related to prospecting new business customers and maintain the timely review of existing customers
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to initiate contact with prospects to discuss their financial needs and maintain communication with those prospects.
  • Ensure the prospecting and onboarding processes are in place and consistently followed for department.
  • Develop and incorporate sales strategies into the annual customer meetings to review the needs of each customer
  • Actively participate in a wide range of civic and community events to cultivate new relationships and promote the Bank’s interest.
  • Provide a superior level of internal and external customer support and build an infrastructure to ensure this level of support for all CM customers.
  • Develop Process for reviewing clients/prospect relationships; assist, when necessary, in conducting needs analysis and identify products which meet the needs of a customer
  • Meet periodically with lending team to review client portfolio and identify cross-sales opportunities.
  • Identify and refer opportunities in a timely manner to other areas of the bank including mortgage, retail products, and investments.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to team by establishing clear direction and expectations, hold regular one-on-one meetings, and create and execute development plans for direct reports.
  • Set direction of the department by creating a team atmosphere and building a structure to support teamwork and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement the Cash Management Sales and Marketing plan to build brand awareness:
  • Identify opportunities in the market to build brand awareness and coordinate with Marketing to implement ideas
  • Coordinate and organize periodic collaboration meetings for the team with Retail Sales Administration and Management to drive awareness and enhance existing relationships.
  • Maintain knowledge of bank’s products and services as well as regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Identify and recommend new product and service needs
  • Make pricing/profitability recommendations.
  • Investigate current market conditions and local competition, maintain and update Senior Leadership on the competitive market, and products and services offered by other financial institutions to aid in the decision making for the CM strategy.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum five years’ sales experience in Financial Services Leadership
  • Sales experience required

Skills Required:

  • 5 to 7 years sales management experience with strong and demonstrated management skills
  • Strong knowledge of bank commercial deposit and cash management products
  • Strong knowledge of bank operations
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, set direction and priorities for others
  • Understanding of how to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Strong organizational skills, time management and attention to detail
