HOURLY RATE: $24.73 to $25.82 

WEEKLY HOURS: 35


WHO WE ARE Center for Family Life in Sunset Park (CFL) (https://centerforfamilylife.org), is a nationally recognized social service organization. CFL's mission is to promote positive outcomes for children and adults in Sunset Park, Brooklyn by providing a comprehensive range of neighborhood-based family and social services.


POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Bilingual Case Management Aide will offer support to case managers and employment counselors with intake, paperwork, data entry, coordination of services and direct client interactions, ensuring that the case management processes are efficient and effective.


I. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct preliminary client assessments and interviews
  • Assist clients with completing necessary forms and documentation
  • Provide clients with information about available services and resources
  • Schedule and coordinate client appointments
  • Follow up with clients to ensure they are receiving the services they need
  • Assist in the planning and execution of community outreach programs
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive client support
  • Accompany clients to appointments or service providers if necessary
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical case files, write case notes, and organize data in agency databases
  • Screening participants for public benefits and assisting with benefit applications
  • Assist with job readiness activities, such as resume writing and job interview preparation and job search
  • Assist with front desk coverage as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

II. QUALIFICATIONS

  • AA degree in psychology, Sociology or a related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities required -preferred languages English/French/ Creole/Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Sensitivity and understanding when dealing with diverse populations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information
  • Experience with community outreach and engagement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively
  • High organizational aptitude and Commitment to providing high-quality client service

Work primarily happens in the office with occasional outings to accompany clients to offsite meetings and for outreach events
