JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to join our production team. This role is responsible for assembling custom door units to precise specifications. The ideal candidate has a background in finish carpentry, is confident using tools such as saws, nail guns, and measuring instruments, and takes pride in producing high-quality, accurate work.

As a Finish Carpenter you’ll play a hands-on role in crafting the high-performance, custom door solutions Bayer Built is known for across the Midwest.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Building and assembling custom door units based on work orders and customer specifications
  • Operating hand and power tools including saws, nail guns, routers, and drills safely and efficiently
  • Performing precise measurements, cuts, and fittings with strong attention to detail
  • Inspecting finished work for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as needed
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area following company safety guidelines
  • Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Continuously improving methods, materials, and results to support production goals

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A GREAT FIT:

  • Proven experience in finish carpentry or custom woodworking required
  • Strong familiarity with carpentry tools, woodworking machinery, and general shop safety
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and technical documents
  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and standing for extended periods
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and reliability in a team environment
