Job description

We are looking to hire a skilled lead carpenter to provide guidance and supervision to the project team involved in construction projects. The lead carpenter's responsibilities include assigning and explaining tasks to the project team, responding to the Project Manager's requests for emergency repairs, and regularly inspecting work done by the project team to ensure that it conforms to certain specifications.
Qualifications:
Applicant should have at least five years of carpentry experience and have a thorough understanding of rough, finish carpentry, and all trades associated with home remodeling. The position requires the ability and willingness to work in a team and a willingness to interact with other Beal Properties employees. Strong communication skills are vital. All candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation capable of carrying 4' X 8' sheet of material as well as material up to 16' in length. All Candidates must have all of their own tools to complete the job.
Lead Carpenter Responsibilities
  • Assigning and explaining tasks to the project team.
  • Communicating with the Project Manager in order to determine the time frames within which projects should be completed.
  • Supervising the company's field carpenters, unskilled and semi-skilled workers, and subcontractors.
  • Performing all carpentry duties required, including both rough and finish carpentry.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all work done by the project team.
  • Take Progress photos of each job throughout every stage and send them to the Construction Manager weekly.

Lead Carpenter Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proven experience in residential remodeling or construction.
  • Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
  • The ability to safely operate power tools.
  • Must possess all of your own tools to complete the job.
  • The ability to read blueprints.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.

• Employees may be required to stand or walk over 75% of the time. Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling may be required. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Must meet vision requirements to obtain a driver's license.
