What is a carpentry helper?

Carpentry helpers assist skilled carpenters by performing a variety of tasks on construction sites, such as carrying materials, cleaning work areas, and using basic hand or power tools. They support carpenters in building, installing, and repairing structures made of wood and other materials. Carpentry helpers often measure and cut materials, hold tools or wood in place, and ensure that the workspace remains organized and safe. This entry-level role is a great way to gain experience in the carpentry trade, often serving as a stepping stone to becoming a skilled carpenter.

What are the daily responsibilities of a carpentry helper?

A Carpentry Helper typically assists the lead carpenter by preparing and organizing materials, cleaning and maintaining tools, and ensuring the work area is safe and tidy.
