Job description

Position Summary

The Punch List Carpenter is responsible for completing final-stage construction tasks on residential or commercial projects to ensure all work meets quality standards prior to project closeout. This role focuses on detailed finish work, corrections, and touch-ups identified during inspections or walkthroughs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete punch list items including repairs, adjustments, and finishing work
  • Perform light carpentry tasks such as trim installation, door adjustments, hardware installation, and cabinetry touch-ups
  • Repair drywall, patch, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting
  • Perform paint touch-ups, caulking, and minor texture work
  • Install and adjust doors, baseboards, crown molding, and other finish carpentry elements
  • Identify deficiencies and proactively address quality issues
  • Ensure all work meets company standards, project specifications, and client expectations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Communicate effectively with superintendents, project managers, and other trades

Requirements

  • 2+ years of carpentry or construction experience (finish carpentry preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
