Carpenter

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced tradesperson with strong carpentry abilities who is also comfortable supporting a variety of home-improvement and repair projects. The Carpenter will work in basements, attics, and other areas of residential homes, delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Essential Job FunctionsPrimary Carpentry Work
  • Build and install basement staircases (typically 3–4 steps).
  • Complete drywall installation, taping, mudding, and basic painting.
  • Frame and construct new walls.
  • Remove, rebuild, and install built-in shelving or cabinetry.
Additional Project Support
  • Installing window well covers.
  • Supporting attic insulation projects.
  • Assisting with PolyLevel work as needed.
  • Providing general labor and jobsite support to ensure projects run smoothly.
  • Other assistance on ad hoc construction projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in carpentry, framing, drywall, or general construction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Comfort working in basements, crawlspaces, and attics.
  • Willingness to assist with non-carpentry tasks as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials and equipment as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Education and Experience

Preferred trades school and 2-3 years of field experience performing home improvement maintenance or 5+ years of field experience in lieu of apprenticeship.
