Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $36.91/hour + fringe wage

Inspection Experts, Inc. is seeking a General Carpenter responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry, maintenance, and repair tasks within Family Housing quarters. This role ensures housing units remain safe, functional, and compliant with Government and Army regulations. The Carpenter supports both routine and emergency maintenance needs, contributing to the overall quality and readiness of housing facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general carpentry tasks including repair and replacement of windows, doors, floors, ceilings, hardwood flooring, door jambs, and window screens
  • Repair and install kitchen cabinets, countertops, wallpaper, and porch screens
  • Conduct minor plaster repairs, touch-up painting, and finishing work
  • Install and repair various flooring types, including carpet, ceramic tile, and vinyl composition tile
  • Respond to locksmith-related service calls and replace name signs as needed
  • Perform general building maintenance and repair tasks across Family Housing units
  • Support maintenance of life-sustainment systems and equipment, including basic plumbing, electrical components, kitchen appliances, and storm drains
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with Government and Army regulations
  • Interpret blueprints and work orders to complete construction and repair projects accurately
  • Respond to emergency service calls within required timeframes at designated locations
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner
