Job description


1. Communicates with Carpenters and others to perform job tasks.
2. Shapes materials to prescribed measurements using skill saws, table saws, band saws, etc.
3. Assembles cut and shaped materials by fastening them together with nails or screws.
4. Verifies the trueness of a structure using a plumb bob and carpenters level.
5. Erects shoring and installs plywood decking.
6. Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
7. Unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
8. Assists in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
9. Cleans and performs minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment.
10. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
11. Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
12. Must be able to climb vertical ladders and work above/below ground as necessary.
13. Performs a variety of tasks involving safe dexterous use of hand tools.
14. Safely operates power tools and equipment.
15. Must be able to climb rebar walls and cages and work at heights.
16. Must be able to walk on and work from rebar mats (narrow surfaces).
17. Adheres to all safety procedures.
18. Typically requires a minimum of 6 months of industrial construction experience.
