The Procedural Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.
Qualifications
Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA); Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), Education: College Diploma: Nursing, Work Experience:
Responsibilities
Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.Performs advanced nursing activities, which can include assisting with procedures using conscious sedation, placement of IV's, and administering chemotherapy drugs.Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in the development of departmental standing orders.Apply holter monitor Perform EKG Perform cardiac stress testing Assist with transesophageal echocardiogram Monitors patient before/after conscious sedation Administers intravenous medications and fluids

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $33.11per hour - $53.88per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
