SUMMARY
The Brooklyn Nets Group Sales team is comprised of hard-working, high motor professionals focused on driving value through group events to companies, organizations, and individuals in the tristate area. The Travel & Tourism Account Executive is responsible for generating new business and growing strategic relationships across the global travel and tourism marketplace. Working within assigned territories, this role partners with tour operators, travel agencies, attractions, and other industry organizations to drive group ticket sales and entertainment experiences across Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, Barclays Center, and BKSE Growth Properties.
The Account Executive, Travel & Tourism Group Sales will report to the Director of Group Sales. This role is expected to be onsite for a variety of events, including all Brooklyn Nets home games; this position is required to work hours on nights, holidays and weekends as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:  

  • Outbound focused role, maximizing group sales opportunities across assigned international markets. 
  • Sell Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, Barclays Center events & BKSE Growth Properties inventory. 
  • Build long-term relationships and sell directly, including but not limited to Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), Receptive Tour Operators, International Tour Operators, Travel Agencies, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), Convention & Visitors Bureaus & Hotel Concierge Programs 
  • Contact, schedule, and conduct virtual, in-person and phone presentations with appropriate decision makers within targeted accounts 
  • Onboard & sell OTA inventory through the API across all available properties.  
  • This role will focus on developing and managing accounts across Latin America & the Caribbean and the Asia-Pacific region, while supporting additional territories and strategic opportunities as needed. 
  • Represent BKSE properties at trade shows, client events, familiarization tours, and industry conferences.  
  • Attend games and events as required of the position 
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure exceptional client experiences before, during, and after each event.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:  

  • 2-5 years of experience working in sales, preferably either in ticket sales for a professional sports franchise, or travel attraction.  
  • Prior travel & tourism industry experience preferred but not required   
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully achieving revenue targets  
  • Outstanding customer service, excellent communication skills and a high level of energy  
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and conflict resolution skills  
  • Previous Salesforce experience is a plus  
  • Bachelor's degree required  

COMPENSATION

$21.63/hr - $26.45/hr

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent primarily works in an office environment, however, is expected to attend games and events which may take place on weekends and holidays.
