The Role
As a Package Delivery Driver, your shift begins and ends at the terminal located at 3660 Scanlan Ave, Salina, KS 67401. You will operate a commercial delivery vehicle (such as a step van or cargo van) and manage a daily route, ensuring that every package reaches its destination safely and on time.
Schedule
  • 4 Days a Week: Enjoy three days off every week.
  • Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (9-hour shifts).
  • Weekend Requirement: This schedule requires working on Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safe Operation: Drive a commercial delivery vehicle safely through residential neighborhoods and commercial districts, strictly adhering to all traffic laws and fleet safety standards.
  • Heavy Lifting: Handle, load, and deliver packages of varying sizes, requiring the physical ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 150 lbs (hand trucks/dollies are provided).
  • Route Execution: Navigate local routes efficiently utilizing provided GPS and fleet management technology.
  • Customer Experience: Act as the face of the company on the street, bringing a hospitality-driven approach to every delivery stop.
  • Vehicle Care: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment remains in top condition.
Requirements
  • Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to maneuver packages up to 150 lbs and remain active (getting in and out of the van frequently) throughout the shift.
  • Driving Record: Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). No CDL is required.
  • Clearances: Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check, a standard five-panel drug screening, and a DOT physical exam.
  • Experience: Previous commercial driving or delivery experience is highly preferred but not strictly required.
