What You'll Do

  • Prepare, stock, and maintain hygiene rooms before patient arrival and throughout the day
  • Ensure all instruments, materials, and PPE are sterilized and ready to go
  • Assist the hygienist chairside, including suctioning, passing instruments, and providing patient comfort
  • Escort patients to hygiene rooms and create a warm, welcoming first impression
  • Take quality photos, x-rays, CBCTs, and iTero scans
  • Assist with perio charting, note entry, and treatment plan creation
  • Present hygiene and restorative treatment plans to patients and schedule appropriately
  • Manage hygiene supply inventory and communicate needs proactively
  • Document notes and support scheduling in Carestack
  • Reach out to overdue patients to keep the hygiene schedule full
  • Follow strict OSHA and HIPAA protocols at all times
  • Collect patient payments at the time of service and support basic insurance coordination
  • Participate in daily morning huddles and communicate clearly with the clinical and admin teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dental Assistant experience or certification preferred (not required)
  • CPR certification (required or willing to obtain)
  • Familiarity with dental instruments and infection control protocols
  • Experience with Carestack or similar practice management software is a plus
  • Radiograph certification is a bonus
