Are you passionate about food safety, quality, and leading high-performing teams? Bell & Evans is seeking a Food Safety Systems Supervisor to help drive our food safety programs, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with industry-leading standards.

In this role, you'll lead a team of Food Safety Systems Technicians while partnering with Operations, Sanitation, Maintenance, Laboratory, Regulatory, and FSQA teams to strengthen food safety systems across our facilities. What You'll Do

As the Food Safety Systems Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10 Food Safety Systems Technicians.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan and support food safety validation studies and pathogen control initiatives.
  • Develop sampling plans, coordinate laboratory testing, and analyze data to support food safety programs.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with food safety systems, prerequisite programs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate nonconformances and audit findings while partnering with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions through follow-up monitoring and audits.
  • Support the development and delivery of food safety training programs that strengthen food safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Participate in special projects, regulatory and customer audits, and continuous improvement initiatives within the FSQA department.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Poultry Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Food Safety or Quality Assurance within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting validation studies, environmental monitoring programs, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with food safety management and ERP systems such as SafetyChain, Business Central, or SAP.
