About the Cardiothoracic ICU

The CardioThoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) is a 20-bed intensive care unit where we care for many complex medical problems including open-heart surgery, aneurysm repair, and heart and lung transplant. We have PT/OT 7 days a week, 2 Respiratory Therapists on the unit at all times, APP team coverage until 2300 and an attending MD for 24/7 coverage.  Learn more about the unit here: Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU)

Position Requirements:

Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.

1 year of RN experience required

Education Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Minimum of Diploma/Associate's Degree in nursing from accredited program.

License Requirements:

Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.

Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation
