Position Overview:

The Non-Invasive Cardiologist provides direct customer care in the clinic and hospital setting and examines and treats customers with cardiovascular disorders and diseases. They will consult with customers and their families to determine the appropriate course of treatment and recommend and order tests to help diagnose the condition and/or determine the extent of the illness. They will work with a health care management team to provide continuity of care and unmatched customer service to our cardiology customers. The Cardiologist will perform general cardiology duties as assigned in support of the Blaze cardiology group, including but not limited to: cardiology call coverage, responding to emergent cardiac cases (as appropriate), inpatient rounding, clinic services, outreach services, reading cardiac imaging, and other responsibilities consistent with training and medical staff privileging.

  • Regularly seeing patients in outpatient non-invasive cardiology clinic at Robbinsdale, Maple Grove and outreach sites. This will involve seeing new and follow-up patients.
  • Participating in the inpatient cardiology rounding service.
  • Participating in the noninvasive cardiology call schedule.
  • Participating in reading rest/stress echoes and nuclear studies; performing TEEs and cardioversions.

Position Qualifications

  • 2+ years of practice experience as a general cardiologist preferred
  • Board eligible or certified in Cardiology
  • Current State of Minnesota Medical Doctor license
  • Valid DEA Registration
  • CT training desired, but not necessary
