Job description

Our organization is in search of a full-time, board-eligible or board-certified General Cardiologist to become part of our growing practice in Anacortes, Washington.

For over two decades, cardiology services have been a vital part of the Anacortes community. This presents a distinctive chance to help establish a new cardiology practice within our organization. It is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare provider who is dedicated to serving rural populations and wishes to collaborate with a committed, patient-focused medical team aimed at enhancing the health and wellness of the entire Anacortes community.

Responsibilities may encompass, but are not limited to, overseeing and interpreting echocardiograms, conducting stress tests, and monitoring heart rhythms. Additional duties include managing devices, supervising ambulatory advanced practice providers, and conducting clinic and follow-up cardiology appointments. Position Details:
  • Full-time position, 1.0 FTE, with a four-day work week

  • Primarily outpatient care schedule from Monday to Friday, with limited inpatient consultations

  • Cardiac diagnostics include stress testing, rhythm management, nuclear diagnostics, and device management

  • General Cardiology hospital call coverage required (1:4)

  • Collaborative and collegial environment with opportunities for growth

  • Work closely with a cohesive group of multi-specialty providers and support staff

  • Utilization of the integrated Meditech Expanse EMR platform across the organization

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Annual compensation ranges from $553,414 to $676,394

  • Competitive base salary guarantee along with productivity incentives for the first year, plus a comprehensive allowance for CME and professional society memberships; malpractice insurance, Washington State Medical License fees, DEA registration, and medical staff dues are covered by the practice

  • Signing bonus of $30,000

  • Relocation assistance available

  • Comprehensive physician benefits

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Ability to interpret echocardiograms is essential

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Echocardiography is required

  • Possession of an active Washington State Medical License or the capability to obtain one

Our facility is a Level III trauma center and Level II stroke center, featuring 43 beds and 170 board-certified physicians and providers. Additionally, we have received service excellence awards in various specialties, including Orthopedic Surgery, Joint Replacement, Spinal Fusion Surgery, Obstetrics, and Emergency Care.
