Job description

What IT Service Center contributes to Cardinal Health

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

The NPHS IT Service Center resolves client/customer technical issues through virtual, real-time communication with clients/customers in accordance to service level objectives, processes, and procedures. This job family serves as a liaison between the client/customer and other internal Information Technology resources to resolve business issues related to technologies and, as necessary, escalates complex and large-scale issues to other job families. IT Service Center maintains a knowledge repository which is maintained for use across IT to assist in supporting clients/customers.

The Nuclear & Precision Health Solutions Support Team is a full-service technical support center that provides immediate assistance for customers and clients utilizing Cardinal Health applications and hardware. This includes the support of proprietary business applications, and Windows-based business-to-business products and solutions, pharmacy management tools, standard desktop applications, and the associated hardware platforms, databases, and network connectivity.

This individual must be okay with flexible work schedules (work hours will cover 7:00am-8:00pm EST, Monday through Friday including Holidays). After training this opening will likely be for the 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM EST shift.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the organizations internal/external users of computer applications and hardware.
  • Answer questions regarding system procedures, online transactions, systems status and downtime procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between customer/client and IT to resolve business issues related to technologies.
  • Collaborate with network services, software systems engineering and/or applications development in order to restore service and/or identify problems.
  • Maintain a troubleshooting tracking log ensuring timely resolution of problems.
  • Manage user access rights.

Qualifications

  • 0-4 years of experience, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Experience supporting proprietary software applications, Microsoft Windows 11
  • Experience in an inbound phone support or customer service environment
  • Experience setting up and supporting network printing using TCP/IP
  • Fundamental understanding of networking including TCP/IP, DNS
  • Network cable troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting label printers
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine is a plus

  • Applies basic concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform routine tasks
  • Works on projects of limited scope and complexity
  • Follows established procedures to resolve readily identifiable technical problems
  • Works under direct supervision and receives detailed instructions
  • Develops competence by performing structured work assignments

Anticipated hourly range:$22.30 per hour - $28.80 per hour
